Maybe the Adventure of a Lifetime—No Kidding
After speaking with Lawrence Aki on the phone, I began to realize the awesome depth of the adventure that we are designing for all of you to enjoy. He suggested that we refer to Moloka’i as “Molokai Pule O`o” which translates to “Molokai Of Powerful Prayers.” He will be our guide through Halawa Valley and Moaula Falls and will teach us about the roots of Hawaiian spirituality and the connection with the land and ancestors.

Beyond Imagination: Halawa Valley and Mo'oula Falls
On the way to Halawa Valley we will drive slowly (hang loose!) from the Pu’u O Hoku Ranch, our base, around Molokai’s eastern shores, through intimate little bays, valleys and hills, watching beautiful Maui only eight miles across the big blue sea. Upon arrival at Halawa Bay lagoon we’ll walk a jungle trail past a little painted church, through old growth forest with trees 200 feet tall. Under this forest canopy, we follow a majestic river, as we learn from Lawrence and his Kumu about taro (kalo) and the ancient ways of their people. We will see where and experience how their family lived, worked and played since 650AD.

Halawa Valley is said to be the oldest and best preserved settlement in all of Hawai’i. You can still see many ancient lava-stone walls of Heiau (temples), house sites, and kalo patches. Our guides’ families have lived here for countless generations. They bring the ancient history alive in the many stories they enjoy sharing about the archeological sites that we’ll see along the trail to the breath-taking Moaula Falls. Upon arriving at the falls we will picnic, swim and play in a large pool filled by double tier waterfalls, each cascading 200 feet. There is a cave in the side of the mountain wall to explore as well.

Temple Lomilomi
The Lomilomi will be very intuitive and contemplative in this training. We will center our attention on deeply irrigating the spine and increasing circulation in all areas of the body. Soon after we gather, we’ll all experience our first alignment through Ka’alele and Lomilomi to assist us in arriving fully into our body and our island environment. We will learn and practice many forms of alignment from Lawrence Aki and Uncle Harry Jiim. All tha's being shared will serve us greatly through our daily stretching, meditating, hiking, chanting, dancing and swimming, opening our Mana (life force) to flow freely without restriction.

Refining Your Practice
We will weave the “Temple Style” dance and the Traditional “Old Style” Lomilomi strokes to soothe and OPEN our bodies, increase blood flow, creating a soft, relaxed body. Uncle Harry will instruct all the Temple Lomilomi in his book:
Wise Secrets of Aloha.

Alignment With Miracles
We will learn and experience mental body alignment through Ho’oponopono with Lawrence and Truth Dialog with Wayne. We will go much deeper into accessing the ultimate Truth of our Being, through intuitively combing and accepting all of our story, listening carefully, opening the way for KALA—full release and forgiveness. The emotional body follows the mental body into alignment with each breath. We will explore again the awesome power of the breath to clean, clear and heal our bodies through group Mana Breathing.

Morning Openings
Meditation, mele (chanting) and pule (prayer) will begin our alignment each day. Then we will be lead into opening our bodies by (one of) two masters of movement; Ahiwai (Dhyana Bartkow) and Kekoa (Gary Dillon). Somatic yoga, Nia Huna and Shamanic Dance will be offered every day to strengthen all our bodies for optimal performance on the trails and in the Lomilomi sessions.

Paradise Meals
We will offer exquisite meals, three times a day; touched by the heart and soul of a wild cook from the BIG island named Patty Tracy.

Silence
The group will share periods of silence designed for just being, resting in the Heart of all Creation--the still and silent place of Perfect Peace.

Integration Time
After the two week Molokai Adventure many of us will ferry to Maui to catch another ferry to Manele Bay on Lana’i. Here we will camp by the ocean and drop even deeper into relaxing and integrating all that is moving through us.
Camping for three to five days will ensure a good dolphin swim!

Lana’i Dolphin Swim
The ferry to Manele Bay goes through the waters where Humpback Whales feed, breech and mate through the winter months. Keep your eyes peeled for those awesome giants breeching around the boat! The Hawaiian spinner dolphins frequent the bays on the south side of Lana’i every few days and they love to play with us.
