Lawrence Kamani Aki, Anakala Pilipo

share with us much of their island culture and Aloha
through mele (song), oli (chant), hula (dance) and the protocol
of old Hawaii. These three men of Molokai represent over 50
generations of Kumu (instructors) that lived to perpetuate
and preserve the traditions of an ancient Hawaii nei.

"You are staying at Puu O Hoku Ranch. Where by the second most
sacred site of Molokai is located there called “Kukui O Lanikaula”
the sacred kukui nut grove of a great prophet of his time."

"Kealohi, the term “Molokai Mo Bettah” is really modern times.
Let me suggest “Molokai Pule O`o” instead, which translates to
“Molokai of Powerful Prayers”

~ Pu'u O Hoku Ranch Lodge ~ Molokai, Hawaii ~

"The history behind this island of 'Molokai of Powerful Prayers',
is that Molokai was very much known for it’s many heiau (temples)
of learning the many classes of Kahunanisim,
which fits perfect to align with your purpose of coming here
to study Hawaiian healing and spirituality."

~ Wayne Kealohi Powell ~

Founder and Director of
Hawaiian Shamanic Bodywork

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kumu Gary Kekoa Dillon and Kumu Linda Wailele Lopez
I am Kekoa Gary Dillon—in life a Lomilomi practitioner and now Instructor, a movement therapist and an artist in many media. I have a place in many precious family circles where the art of loving well is best learned, practiced, and transmitted to the future.
My Hawaiian name is Kekoanui’okealoha, meaning
“Great Warrior of Love.” I bring to this precious bodywork both the steadfastness of a warrior and the capacity to be “hollow-boned” and humble before the ever-surprising call of Aloha/love in each person.
Such an Inoa (name) is a daily promise to bring the blessings of this work to each person with great
love and respect. It is accomplished through good
humor and curiosity--curiosity to learn and bring forth the “fullness of being” in each person through heart conversation, breath, chant, and the great journey of Lomilomi. Together we enter into the expansive heartbeat of the present moment. May it ever be so! Whoever you are, and whatever you have done, this is a moment to reconnect with all that is heartfelt, untarnished, forever beautiful and loved in your deepest being
.
Wailele Linda Lopez
For me, the art of lomilomi is a kind of
spiritual companioning. It’s about being
fully present to another individual and
open to listening them into their own
truth and clarity. Lomilomi creates
energy shift. The sacred shift within
that is inspired by the presence of a compassionate companion. It is a joyous dance in which the receiver leads me to raising the vibrations towards the
harmony of love, that is pure Aloha.
I see myself as a midwife to the birthing of the souls that TRUST themselves in my hands. It is always an honor and a gift of great learning to be given the opportunity to deeply touch another in the sharing of lomilomi.
With twenty years experience in the healing arts, practicing as a Certified Massage Therapist, a Douala (birthing coach) and Holistic Health Educator, I’ve gained a considerable wealth of knowledge in Healing Touch Therapies. I’ve learned to listen and surrender to Higher guidance. Drawing on various ancient traditions, and on a profound respect for the innate wisdom of our higher selves, I have witnessed many miracles.
A Royal Invitation for YOU
Lomilomi
Fall Training in Paradise
Dear Global Ohana,
We feel honored and privileged to invite you to Molokai for a wonderful opportunity that is opening up for us all. People, events and places have coincided to make available a remarkable chance to explore and expand our
consciousness together. As we grow in Spirit--Akua, we open our hearts and our minds to infinite possibilities.
We will draw from the spirituality of Old Hawaii, and the principles of Huna,
on the land where the kahuna college was first born!
We are the Miracle Workers of our time!
Sacred Circle ~
A gathering of ancient souls and the unique alchemy of people from all over the world is being drawn together for an advanced shamanic Lomilomi Retreat like no other. The setting of this gathering is the heart center of Hawai’i --- the island of Moloka’i. Moloka’i and her people at Pu'u O Hoku Ranch have opened their hearts to share their Aloha with us. Many sacred circles will be shared in the Hawaiian Tradition with our staff and faculty in prayer and celebration!
We feel deep gratitude for this rare opportunity to reunite with many of you and also joining again with Lawrence Kamani Aki and his Molokai 'ohana as well as Kahuna Harry Uhane Jim and the HSB Staff and International Lomilomi 'ohana!
Because this is an advanced training in Shamanic Bodywork and Hawaiian Cultural Studies, only experienced "Temple" Lomilomi Students and Practitioners will be allowed to come.
The theme for this Kupua Mana Training is Kahuna Healing.
According to Kahuna Harry Uhane Jim, a Kupua is "an architect of belief systems".
Our Intention ~
As an advanced training in Hawaiian healing and cultural studies, it is our intention that the participants will be able to practice and enhance the skills that they already know, as well as learn and incorporate many NEW authentic Kupua (shamanic) bodywork techniques into their practice.
We will dive into the mysteries of Hawaiian Culture and Spirituality, both through bodywork and a direct experience with aloha ‘aina (land), and the ancient people of Hawaii.
Maybe the Adventure of a Lifetime—No Kidding ~
After experiencing four Kupua Mana Adventures, one with Sherman Dudoit in 2005, three with Kumu Lawrence in '07, '08, & '09 and this one will be the second Kupua Mana with Uncle Harry. In Halawa Valley we began to realize the awesome depth of the adventures that we design for all of you to enjoy. Kumu Lawrence suggested that we refer to Moloka’i as “Molokai Pule O`o” which translates to “Molokai of Powerful Prayers.” He will be our guide through Halawa Valley and Moaula Falls and will teach us about the roots of Hawaiian spirituality and the connection with the land and ancestors. He is joined by other members of his Ohana who will share some other aspects of their culture with us, giving us a direct experience of living the ole Hawaiian Way.
Beyond Imagination: Halawa Valley and Mo'oula Falls ~
On the way to Halawa Valley we will drive slowly (hang loose!) from the Pu’u O Hoku Ranch, our base, around Molokai’s eastern shores, through intimate little bays, valleys and hills, watching beautiful Maui only eight miles across the big blue sea. Upon arrival at Halawa Bay lagoon we’ll walk a jungle trail past a little painted church, through old growth forest with trees 200 feet tall. Under this forest canopy, we follow a majestic river, as we learn from Lawrence and his Kumu about taro (kalo) and the ancient ways of their people. We will see where and experience how their family lived, worked and played since 650 AD.
Halawa Valley is said to be the oldest and best preserved settlement in all of Hawai’i. You can still see many ancient lava-stone walls of Heiau (temples), house sites, and kalo patches. Our guides’ families have lived here for countless generations. They bring the ancient history alive in the many stories they enjoy sharing about the archeological sites that we’ll see along the trail to the breath-taking Mo’oula Falls. Upon arriving at the falls we will picnic, swim and play in a large pool filled by double tier waterfalls, each cascading 200 feet, one on top of the other. There is also a cave in the side of the mountain wall to explore as well. This experience with Lawrence Kamani Aki and his Ohana in Halawa Valley is a rare gift. If you attended Kupua Mana last year, this will be your chance to strengthen your bond with Lawrence and Kealohi, and with other veteran lomilomi Ohana who are interested in Advanced shamanic Bodywork and Hawaiian Cultural studies.
Kupua Bodywork & Cultural Studies ~
Advanced Temple Bodywork with Uncle Harry ~
Lots of hands on work with Harry. Hawaiian style of teaching.
Look, feel, listen, be quiet and open yourself to an experience of HAWAII.
Tools will be honed for your expansion. Comfort zones will grow with new ideas. Lots of beach time.
Ho’oponopono and Protocol with Kumu Lawrence Kamani Aki ~
We will deepen our knowledge and experience of Ho’oponopono with Kumu Lawrence Aki. Through Ho’oponopono we will continue to access the Truth of our Being and the power of forgiveness through listening carefully, accepting all of the story and opening the way for KALA—PONO, full release and forgiveness of cherished wounds from the past, returning to optimum flow of more ALOHA!
Sacred opening and closing rituals for Lomi sessions with Kealohi ~
Kealohi will be sharing two healing modules: "The Truth Dialog" for before
a Lomi massage and the "Golden Cocoon" meditation for after the Lomi massage.
Morning Openings ~
Deep Meditation, Mele (song & chant), Pule (prayer) and Shamanic Dance will begin our journey into the Mystery each day. We will be lead into opening our bodies by master of movement to strengthen our bodies for optimal performance on the trails and throughout the Lomilomi sessions.
Paradise Meals ~
We will offer exquisite meals, three times a day; touched by the heart and soul of a local chef angel named Cindi Nand from Maui.
Silence & Integration Time
The group will share periods of silence designed for just being, resting in the Heart of all Creation--the still and silent place of Perfect Peace.
After Training Integration ~ Manele Bay camping on Lana’i ~ Dolphin Swim!
After the two week Molokai Adventure many of us will ferry to Maui to catch another ferry to Manele Bay on Lana’i. Here we will camp by the ocean, swim with the dolphins, and drop even deeper into relaxing and integrating all that is moving through us. Bring a hammock!
The ferry to Manele Bay goes through the waters where Humpback Whales feed, breech and mate through the winter months. Keep your eyes peeled for those awesome giants breeching around the boat! The Hawaiian spinner dolphins frequent the bays on the south side of Lana’i every few days and they love to play with us.
Trust ~
We understand the power in committing to give this awesome Gift of FREEDOM to your soul, your family and your relationships. Remember how “The Secret” works? Focus on the JOY that you can FEEL through imagining BEING here on Molokai with the Hawaiian kahuna and others like yourself. You’ll be cradled in the arms of our Ohana, in a simple, tranquil paradise for two whole weeks! We can help you with manifesting the funds for this journey. Your only task is to open to receive.
Installment Plans ~ begin NOW!
We offer creative payment plans that suit your lifestyle. Come up with a deposit to establish your commitment to the Universe, and we can work out the balance. The Universe responds to a non-refundable deposit! The way will clear, when you set this intention and follow through.
